Season of Change and New Beginnings.

  As I sit here writing this, I look out from the window of my old-time favorite coffee shop where I worked for two years in high school. I look at the tables where I've spent hours with friends, chatting about life, and the chairs that have held our worries and our joys. I look out the window and see the cars on Main street, all trying to get somewhere, looking for the next turn to take. The leaves on the trees have began to turn yellow and orange, the first sign that my favorite season is upon us. It's October and it's been 75 degrees up until the last 2 weeks or so, very unusual for this part of the country. However, the snow we've had the past week, rumor has it that Autumn is in full swing.
  As I sit here, I think of where I was at this time two years ago. I was just getting settled into by home in England. I was absolutely loving the long-lasting lush colors of Autumn that the country was covered in. I was loving the diverse cultures I was encountering every day. I was loving the traveling. I was loving learning the beautiful British English language(uni=college, jumper=sweater, lemonade= fizzy drink with almost the same taste as 7up, etc.).
But most of all, I was loving life overseas.
And now, I'm loving being home.
I'm currently working as a homework tutor at the Boys and Girls Club of Lewistown, substitute teaching(for all grades), and I've even had a few days of subbing at Headstart. After working in a ministry setting for the past few years, it's been really cool to have a little change in working now in a (non-Catholic) school setting.
  My life for the last two years seems to have gone by in a blur.  I thank God for every person I've encountered and for every day I've been given.  I admit, life overseas was not always easy, I had my fair share of challenges.  But if there was one thing I learned most, it is to see every moment as an opportunity and every opportunity as a gift.  I feel so blessed that I was given the chance to journey with such incredible people.
 My life has been touched by some true saints and angels, I am certain of it.
