Went for a walk first night I was here. Beautiful sight.
My 11 months in England has turned into two years. Last year I was serving through ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission and this year I'm serving as an ELCA Lutheran Volunteer. Last year I was beginning a journey, and now I am continuing down that path. Throughout the year last year, I'd hoped to explore deeper what it means to be a servant of God. This year it's even deeper. I'm living it out. I'm loving it. This chapter of my life has been a transformation of my mind, my heart, and my soul.

SPEC Centre
I am living and serving at the SPEC Centre in London Colney, St. Albans, England. The name SPEC comes from Latin "Speculum Vitae" which means "mirror of life" and is also an acronym for "Spiritual, Personal/Peer, Educational, Community". It is a Catholic youth retreat centre where youth from the age of 7-25 years come for retreats and school missions. I'm on the team of volunteers that leads the kids in music, dance, arts and crafts along with prayer, worship and Bible studies throughout the week.
